Youth Points Chase
​PROGRAM

The Youth Points Chase program will include points from events listed on the season's Event Schedule, which can be found at www.iowa-meat-goat.com/events.  Shows indicated with an * on the website are sanctioned in the program.  The schedule may have additions, changes or removals throughout the season so please continue to monitor the page. 

The YPC program will consist of the following:
1.   Market Goat Division*
2.   Commercial Breeding Goat Division*
3.   Registered Breeding Goat Division*
4.   Showmanship Division*
          a. Senior (14-18 years of age)
          b. Intermediate (9-13 years of age)
          c. Junior (0-8 years of age)

*Note: Mentors (19-21 years of age) may compete in the market, commercial breeding, and registered breeding goat divisions but are not eligible to compete in the showmanship division.

Points will be counted in each division as indicated in the complete program rules found at the link below.   At the end of the year, the top ten individuals in the market, commercial breeding and registered breeding divisions; the top two individuals in each showmanship age division; and the Overall High Point individuals will be recognized at the IMGA Annual Banquet.

to review their points once posted.  Youth will have the lesser of Oct 31st or 30 days after points have been

with any concerns.  Points cannot be contested after this time period.
